The Rabbitohs will return to the Sydney Cricket Ground for the first time since Round 22 of the 2014 season to continue a long tradition of Rabbitohs football at the famous venue – and Rabbitohs centre Dylan Walker can’t wait for it.

“It’s always fun playing at the SCG,” said Walker.

“It’s such a historic ground (and) against St George – such a historic team. There’s so much history between the two teams and I just can’t wait to see all the fans and Members to watch us.

“You feel really lucky and privileged to play on that ground. You’ve got players and great cricketers before us that have played there – it’s something special.”

The Rabbitohs have a long history of playing at the famous ground, having played at the venue a total of 321 times, recording 185 wins, seven draws and 129 losses for a winning percentage of 58.72% - a host of Grand Finals among the matches.

The most recent outing however came in Round 22 of the 2014 season when the red and greens defeated the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in front of a crowd of a crowd of over 27,000.

The Rabbitohs will take on the St George Illawarra Dragons at the SCG next Saturday night at 7:30pm. Click here to purchase your tickets.
