Over 500 Rabbitohs Junior Members descended on the Simply Energy High Performance Centre, Redfern Oval, today (Tuesday) for the annual Junior Member Footy Clinic.

Rabbitohs players spent the morning running the proud Members through drills designed to improve their Rugby League skills on the hallowed turf of the Club’s spiritual home, before posing for photos together and signing autographs for the appreciative group.

“They just really enjoy it,” said Rabbitohs centre Bryson Goodwin of the unique opportunity that the Member Clinic provides.

“I think it just gives them a bit of a kick and they get really excited – they take it back to their local footy clubs and hopefully they perform on the weekends and they just have fun which is the most important thing.”

Souths winger Aaron Gray added that he was impressed by the level of skill on the day, suggesting that there could be some stars of the future among the 500 plus strong group.

“There could be a few little stars around down in the future, but we’ll have to wait and see.”
