Let’s be serious for a minute. We have won nine games so far this season. It is round 17 this week so we have lost 6 games with a bye in there too. Exactly the same position we were in this round last year.

That’s pretty pleasing considering we have had a number of injuries this year, including our play maker/goal kicker in Adam Reynolds. While Adam has been in, 48 of our 294 points have come from his boot alone!

But it’s not just about Adam. There are 16 other men playing, doing their jobs to a tee to give players like Adam the space to do their job. My point is, we’re a team, and all of the parts of this machine need to be functioning at 100% in order for us to be at our best.

Beating Manly was of course very enjoyable, especially because our Burgess boys and our Stewart got to battle it out against their siblings.

But what I enjoyed most was seeing Aaron Gray. That man! He is energizing and refreshing and I look forward to seeing what he can achieve each week.

So this week we head out to Penrith. We have not played the Panthers since early 2014 and they have not beaten us since 2011. But, I think we can do it.

Having Inglis out through Origin is always a challenge, but with Johnston back there we have a more than worthy substitute. As long as our forwards keep leading us up-field and we keep the ball in our hands, we can win this one.

Come on Rabbitohs Members. Get excited and get behind our boys as they head out to Penrith!

Up the Mighty Rabbitohs!
