Rabbitohs Assistant Coach, Kurt Wrigley, has been appointed to take the reins of Queensland’s under 20s side to take on NSW as the curtain-raiser to next week’s Origin III decider.

With Queensland taking the points in the first two games in the under 16s and under 18s, Wrigley is keen to make it a clean sweep in the representative lower grades for Queensland.

“It’s exciting,” admitted Wrigley.

“The main Series is one-all – Queensland have managed to get the 16s and the 18s up, so we’ve got to do our job and play well on Origin III.

“These guys are at the top end of the under 20s – I’m not sort exactly sure what to expect , but I’m going to be going in with a real defensive mind-set.”

The team will go into camp on Friday evening at Royal Pines.

Congratulations to Kurt on his appointment.
