Glenn Stewart made his long awaited return to the field last night against his former club Manly and his brother Brett – helping his side to a 20-8 win.

Stewart was out with a broken thumb for much of the opening half of the season, but despite the lack of football, played a pivotal role in a Rabbitohs win coming off the bench.

“It was good – a bit of rust there that I need to improve,” said Stewart.

“All in all the lungs felt pretty good and our defence was really strong tonight.”
