Well, we have the bye this week and I’m sure the rest will help. After a great performance in Origin, we will get Inglis back at fullback and of course Adam Reynolds back at halfback when we take on Manly on Friday night.
Our forwards seem to be hitting the ball up well, but against the Tigers we didn’t get the field positioning we needed. In recent weeks, the Burgess twins have been making great metres for us thanks to size and talent, but we have also seen Nathan Brown have a blinder against Parramatta and Chris Grevsmuhl had his best game yet against the Tigers. If all those things can synchronise, I think our go forward will be formidable.
I have every confidence that we have what it takes to improve from this point. While we may have a few troops out owing to injury, our young boys are stepping up and will only get better with more game-time.
We have a great attacking weapon in the form of Inglis, we have two massive Englishmen who would do everything in their power to get us to where we need to be, we have two young, fresh, competitive halves who know how to create opportunities, and of course we have plenty of representative experience.
If anyone can do it, these are the men to do so. Enjoy the week off Rabbitohs, because when we come back there will be no chance to look back.
We expect them to win? Then they expect us to be loud, proud, in voice and full colour.
Up the Mighty Rabbitohs!
