Rabbitohs centre, Dylan Walker, has been brought into the NSW VB Blues squad as a shadow player for Origin II.

The Souths Junior joins Laurie Daley’s side to provide cover for the outside backs, having already made his Test debut – playing four Tests for the Kangaroos in last year’s Four Nations tournament while also having had representative experience in both the City Country and All Stars formats.

“It’s pretty exciting,” said Walker of his call-up.

“When you’re a young boy, you just always wanted to play Origin and be the best footballer you can be.

“I’m still learning and I’m still going along the way – it’s just awesome to be part of this camp and be (alongside) the likes of the Gallen’s and the Farah’s.

“It’s awesome and I can’t wait to get in there and meet the boys. This will be my first camp so it’ll be something special and it’ll be something I’ll never forget.”

Congratulations to Dylan from all the Rabbitohs Family on his selection.
