Four Rabbitohs junior representatives have been selected in the NSW Under 18s 29-man Representative Team to take on Queensland in the curtain-raiser to Origin II on Wednesday 17 June at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Siosifa Talakai, Gabriel Hamlin, Cam Murray and John Neill were all named in coach Todd Payten’s extended squad in preparation for the annual clash.

The quartet’s selection comes following an SG Ball season that saw the Rabbitohs make it to the competition Grand Final.

Rabbitohs SG Ball Coach, Willie Peters, was proud to hear about the selections today.

“This a fantastic reward for these boys,” said Peters.

“To have four players selected in the squad is certainly a positive for the Club, especially when you consider the character shown by the SG Ball team in 2015.

“These four boys played a big role in setting us on the path to the Grand Final, so to be recognised in this way – it’s a just reward.

“The hard work no doubt starts now though if they want to make that final cut.”

The final team will be named this weekend featuring the best up-and-coming players developing through the young ranks in NSW Rugby League.

Congratulations to all four players on their selection.
