Rabbitohs Family Out in Force at Member Appreciation Day
Just one day after reaching a Club and NRL record 35,000 Members, Rabbitohs Members were treated to the annual Member Appreciation Day at Redfern Oval – an opportunity to rub shoulders with their red and green heroes.
Thousands of proud Rabbitohs descended on the Club’s spiritual home to get autographs and snap photos of the players at the exclusive Member event, with a vast array of giveaways and entertainment setting the backdrop for what was a day of family and fun in the sun.
Rabbitohs Head Coach, Michael Maguire, was proud to see Members out in force on the morning following his side’s crucial Round 11 victory over the Eels at ANZ Stadium.
“We say it all the time, we’re so lucky to have such passionate Members,” said Maguire at the on-field presentation.
“To have this many people here the day after a game all smiling and here with their families – it’s pleasing to see and in many ways it’s what this Club is all about.”
Speaking exclusively to Rabbitohs.com.au, Members spoke glowingly of the players and of the opportunity to get up close and personal with them.
“Our guys are always open for a chat,” said one Member.
“They always smile and say hi – even when you pass them on the street or see them in the café, they’re always friendly.
“This is the Pride of the League. There isn’t another Club like it.”
The South Sydney Rabbitohs would like to thank all those who attended the 2015 Member Appreciation Day and congratulations on surpassing the 35k mark.
