Rabbitohs centre, Bryson Goodwin, says that he and his team will continue to work hard at training to get their on-field performance right for this Friday night’s match against the Parramatta Eels.

The men in red and green went down to the Melbourne Storm in Melbourne on Saturday night in what was a hotly contested match. But Goodwin lamented lost opportunities to seal the game when he spoke to the Rugby League media at the team’s recovery session.

“We had our chances to win the game,” admitted Goodwin.

“It was a good second half by us – we didn’t let them score any tries – but we just let it sort of slip.

“We’ll just keep working hard at training – it’ll come soon enough and when it does I think we’ll be ready to go.”

Souths now have a short turnaround coming into Friday night’s Round 11 clash with the Eels at home. Goodwin says he and his team will be prepared.

“We had a short turnaround last week as well, so I’m pretty sure it’ll be pretty similar to that,” said Goodwin.

“Whatever the case we’ll be ready to go anyway, so everybody’s ready to play Parra this week.”
