Rabbitohs front-rower, George Burgess, was pleased with his team’s 80 minute effort against the St George Illawarra Dragons on Monday night – the English international stressing the importance of producing more performances in the same vein.

Burgess also pointed to his side’s improved defensive performance on Monday night, managing to keep the Dragons scoreless in the second half.

“It was important that we put in an 80 minute performance,” said Burgess.

“We’ve been talking about strengthening up our defence – I thought we did that in the second half. They threw a lot at us and we defended our goal-line for large periods.”
