Rabbitohs forward Thomas Burgess has paid tribute to Issac Luke following the announcement that the Kiwi hooker would be returning home to New Zealand in 2016.
“He’s been a big part of this Club for nine years,” said Burgess.
“Obviously it was taken lightly – the decision. He’s been a big part of the rise of South Sydney – everyone will miss him here.”
Burgess stressed that he and his teammates were focusing on taking on the Dragons this Monday night in Round 9.
“We’re just concentrating on the Dragons this week. Obviously they’re going pretty well at the moment so it’s a big challenge for us – on recent form you’d probably say they’re the favourites but we’ve just got to go into this game looking at ourselves really
