South Sydney will take on Cronulla in the SG Ball (under 18s) Grand Final this Saturday afternoon at Leichhardt Oval.
The men in red and green won their way through to the Final last week by defeating Manly at St Mary’s Stadium in a golden-point extra-time thriller.
Souths SG Ball Coach, Willie Peters has urged Rabbitohs Members and supporters to head out to Leichhardt Oval for the clash after what was a strong season of support from the Rabbitohs faithful.
“Occasions like this are why we play the game, so we need them (Rabbitohs Members and supporters) now more than ever,” said Peters.
“The red and green army has been outstanding throughout this season and the boys have gotten a real kick out of seeing and hearing that support every week.
“We’ve said it before – that support really does make a difference whether you’re playing in first grade, SG Ball or Harold Matthews Cup, so we can’t wait to see the Rabbitohs faithful out in force.”
Souths’ Harold Matthews Cup (under 16s) side, also made it to the finals series but were knocked out one game away from the Preliminary Final.
