The ANZAC Test match between the Holden Kangaroos and the New Zealand Kiwis, due to be played this evening (Friday) at Suncorp Stadium, has been postponed as a result of Brisbane's bad weather.

The match – set to feature Rabbitohs players Greg Inglis, Alex Johnston (Australia) and Issac Luke (New Zealand) will now be played on Sunday, May 3, at 4pm at Suncorp Stadium. The curtain-raiser match between the Jillaroos and the Kiwi Ferns will be played as the curtain raiser to the rescheduled Test match, at 2pm on Sunday.

The reshuffle means that Sunday’s City v Country match featuring Rabbitohs player, Jason Clark, has been brought forward to the earlier kick-off time of 1:45pm.

The NRL has worked with the NZRL, broadcasters, Suncorp Stadium, teams, NRL clubs and the RLPA around the decision.

“There were a number of considerations for this decision, primarily player safety as well as that of our supporters,” NRL Head of Football Todd Greenberg said.

All tickets purchased for tonight’s match will be valid for the rescheduled match, however patrons unable to attend will be given a full refund.

For City v Country, tickets can be purchased both online, via Ticketek, or through selected Telstra stores in Wagga Wagga.
