If the sentiment that games are won in the forwards is true, then Rabbitohs player Jason Clark will be pleased to be playing in a red and green engine-room this Monday that includes the likes of George Burgess.
Burgess will take his place in the front-row when Souths take on the Cowboys in Monday Night Football at ANZ Stadium after successfully fighting a dangerous contact charge at the NRL Judiciary mid-week.
“George is obviously a key player for us,” said Clark.
“He’s a very big part of our go-forward so to get him off (the charge) was a big key for us.”
The Cowboys come into the match having picked up an impressive 30-10 win over the Panthers in Round 5.
“Their last win was a great win for them,” said Clark.
“Any team with Johnathan Thurston in it is a good side and their boys up front are playing good footy as well, so it’ll be a tough game and looking forward to it.”
