After starting the 2015 season off the bench, Chris McQueen has recently been elevated to the Rabbitohs’ starting line-up – this week starting from the familiar second row.

McQueen was a late inclusion in Michael Maguire’s starting line-up against the Tigers last Sunday, with the Origin forward coming away with a solid performance locking the scrum.

The Queenslander will be looking to repay the faith afforded to him by Maguire and his teammates by chasing a solid outing against Parramatta on Friday night.

“I started the year on the bench but I’ve been given that starting spot now,” said a proud McQueen.

“I feel like it’s my job to repay the Coach and repay the boys and do my job out there on the field.”

“It’s easy when the boys are sticking to the process and everyone knows their role. All I’ve got to do is do my job and stick to my role and that makes my job easy.”

McQueen took his opportunity with both hands against Wests in Round 3, making 35 tackles in an 80 minute performance that saw him also make 75 metres with the ball in hand.
