Rabbitohs halfback Adam Reynolds has highlighted the need to improve ball-control ahead of this Sunday’s clash with the Wests Tigers at ANZ Stadium.
Across the first two rounds of the competition, the Rabbitohs have made a total of 22 errors (11 per match). It’s a statistic that the men in red and green will be out to correct against the in-form Tigers.
“I think we just need to hold onto the ball a bit more,” said Reynolds.
“We’ve been turning over a bit in the last two weeks along with our kick finishes – I’ve put a few dead and one out on the full there, so if we can turn those things around and build a bit more pressure, I’m sure it’ll be a good contest.”
The Tigers come into the match with two wins from two matches, including Monday night’s 22-4 victory over St George-Illawarra.
“They’re going to bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm,” said Reynolds.
“They’re playing with a lot of confidence at the moment and I think their halves along with Robbie Farah – they’re really controlling the game.
“Their big boys through Martin Tapau and Aaron Woods are really laying the platform.”
