Despite a convincing 36-6 demolition of the Broncos in Thursday night’s NRL opener, Rabbitohs hooker, issac Luke, is conscious of the fact that there’s plenty to work on ahead of round two’s blockbuster clash against the Roosters.

“We’re happy but I know a lot of the boys want to work on a lot of things,” said Luke.

“As a team we can sort of correct a lot of errors that we want to wipe out of our game. But in saying that, we’re happy with how we rolled up last night – we need to worry about the Roosters now.”

Luke was in fine form against the Broncos on Thursday night, the Kiwi international causing plenty of problems for Wayne Bennett’s men through the middle with his opportunistic runs from dummy half.

Luke made 24 tackles and ran for a total of 98 metres with the ball in hand, while also helping to set up a number of four-pointers for his side.

The Rabbitohs will now take on the Sydney Roosters in their first home game of the season at ANZ Stadium on Sunday, 15 March at 4pm. Tickets are available now through Ticketek.
