The South Sydney Rabbitohs left Sydney on Sunday evening to head to the UK ahead of their February 22nd World Club Challenge clash against reigning English Super League champs, St Helens.
A 20-man squad of the very best South Sydney can offer, are currently heading towards Manchester via Abu Dhabi for what will be the Club’s first ever World Club Challenge match.
Rabbitohs World Club Challenge touring member, Joel Reddy, said that while the trip was a long one, he and his teammates will be fully prepared when they arrive thanks to careful planning courtesy of the Club’s High Performance unit.
“We’re lucky Troy Thomson (Rabbitohs High Performance Manager) has done it a few times before,” said Reddy.
“He’s given us a lot of advice on what we need to do to make sure we’re in good shape for when we get over there.
“It is a long trip, but we’ll be fully prepared to play by the time we get over there.”
The Rabbitohs will take on St Helens at Langtree Park next Monday morning (AEDT) 23 February, with the match set to be broadcast live on Gem from 6am.
