Rabbitohs Head Coach, Michael Maguire, spoke to Rabbitohs TV following Saturday night's 32nd Annual Charity Shield clash at ANZ Stadium.

With an army of young-guns taking on a near full-strength St George Illawarra side, the Rabbitohs managed to retain the Charity Shield by drawing 12-12 thanks to two late tries.

“I was just proud of the character the boys showed,” said Maguire following the clash.

“We had a number of young kids come into the game and they probably haven’t had a lot of experience at that level and they represented themselves very well.

“We fell behind there at one stage, but the boys hung strong defensively and they showed what we’re continually trying to do.”
