The Rabbitohs’ competitive streak isn’t confined to the Telstra Premiership, with the Club diligently preparing to take on English Super League Champions, St Helens, in the World Club Challenge on February 22.

Rabbitohs forward, Ben Lowe, highlighted the desire to win when he spoke to, confirming that hunger at the Club is as high as ever.

“We strive in everyday training to win everything,” said Lowe.

“It’s going to be a game of football and another thing that Madge definitely wants to get across the line with.

“It’s going to put us in good stead for the season ahead so look we’re going over there to definitely win and make sure we put a good 80 minute performance in.”

With a mixture of playing talent form the both the Southern and Northern Hemisphere in the English Super League, St Helens will be formidable opponents for the NRL Premiers.

“We’re looking forward to getting over there,” said Lowe.

We’re not going to take the Super League for granted – they’ve got a very good competition over there so it’ll be interesting to see how we go.”
