The Rabbitohs launched their 2015 Dick Smith NRL Auckland Nines Jersey in Sydney today, alongside the other 15 NRL Clubs.

Rabbitohs hooker Issac Luke was on hand to launch the Rabbitohs’ strip, a red, white and green strip featuring the Maori Koru symbol.

The Koru symbol is featured strongly in Maori culture, including decorations on tombs, monuments, meeting houses, as well as jewellery, carved wood, painting and celebratory paraphernalia and is featured in part to pay homage to Pacific Islander Indigenous Communities.

Rabbitohs TV caught up with Issac about his prospects of playing in the Nines next season, as well as catching up with former Rabbitohs and now Panthers hooker Apisai Koroisau and Storm utility Ryan Hinchcliffe, who along with the reigning Nines Champions, the North Queensland Cowboys, will make up the Waiheke pool.

Luke, who was not part of the Rabbitohs' Nines squad in 2014, said: "I got to watch it last year. I'm getting itchy thinking about it right now.

"I actually took my boots over and I was asking Madge if I could play!"

When pondering the thought of taking on the Rabbitohs and his great mate Issac in his first game for his new Club, Koroisau described it as: "intimidating actually!"
