The social media milestones continue to roll in with the Rabbitohs now surpassing 50,000 followers on Instagram.
The milestone represents a significant advance when considering that at this time last year, Instagram followers stood at around 13,000. By round one of the 2014 season, 15,233 Members and supporters had jumped on board, before the Rabbitohs faithful jumped on board in their tens of thousands, seeing the Club reach the 50k milestone.
The achievement comes hot on the heels of other significant social media milestones. The Rabbitohs’ Facebook page cracked the 300k mark the week before the Grand Final, before going on to add an extra 50,000 likes by the 25th of October. The Club now has over 360,000 likes on the platform, representing a massive increase of over 170,000 likes since the beginning of the season and counting.
On Twitter, the Rabbitohs surpassed the 50,000 followers milestone on Grand Final day (5th October), representing a gain of 15,219 followers since the beginning of the 2014 season, and is now on its way to 55k.
