Just one week after surpassing 300,000 likes on Facebook, the Rabbitohs have reached yet another social media milestone, breaking through the 50,000 followers mark on Twitter.
The milestone represents a significant advance this season, with the Club gaining 15,219 followers since the beginning of the 2014 season, highlighting the incredible depth of passion and interest in the Rabbitohs’ march toward the Grand Final.
In a season that has produced many highlights thus far on-field, the highlights have been mirrored by Rabbitohs Members and supporters online, who have taken to Twitter to show their approval with the click of a button.
Among the many highlights this season was the full time Preliminary Final ‘tweet’, declaring that the Rabbitohs were heading to the 2014 Grand Final.
The tweet received 471 retweets and was made a ‘favourite’ by 327 Twitter users.
