Rabbitohs skipper, John Sutton, fronted the rugby league media at the side’s recovery session on Saturday, mere hours after defeating the Sydney Roosters in the Preliminary Final at ANZ Stadium.

“It’s very exciting,” said Sutton.

“I didn’t get much sleep last night thinking about it all – it’s going to be an enjoyable week, everyone’s going to enjoy it,  but in saying that, we’re just going to do our processes and make sure that we’re 100% ready to go next week.

“Madge said that he wants us to enjoy this week and have fun with it, but like I said, we have to prepare well for the ‘GF’.”

The Rabbitohs will take on the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in Sunday’s Grand Final, in what promises to be another classic encounter between the two sides.

After putting on a brutal performance up-front against the Roosters, Sutton said he was proud of the way his forwards aimed up.

“We’ve got a great forward pack,” said Sutton.

“I thought Ben Te’o when he came on really raised our aggression levels and brought a lot of energy. Like I said, I’m very proud of the boys.”
