Rabbitohs skipper, John Sutton, says that there is still plenty of improvement left in his side following last Friday’s 40-24 victory over the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in the opening match of the 2014 Finals Series.

After bursting out of the blocks to race out to a 40-0 lead, Sutton said that his side failed to produce an 80 minute performance after the Sea Eagles scored 24 unanswered points to finish the match.

“We practiced all week being clinical,” said Sutton at the Club's recovery session.

“We got out there and started very well and I thought it was probably some of the best footy we’ve played all season, but in saying that, the last 15-20 minutes was disappointing.

“We didn’t play an 80 minute performance – there’s a lot of improvement there, so we’ll be doing everything possible to make sure that we’re ready to go.”

The Rabbitohs have the week off ahead of the Friday 26th of September’s Preliminary Final clash against either the Sydney Roosters, or North Queensland Cowboys at ANZ Stadium.

“We’re just going to concentrate on what we have to do at training,” said Sutton.

“Just go through our processes, make sure the bodies are right, make sure the minds are right and just make sure we put in a better performance.”
