Rabbitohs High Performance Manager, Troy Thomson, updates us on the casualty ward at the Club in the latest ALCATEL onetouch High Performance Update.

Centre, Dylan Walker, required attention during last Friday’s Qualifying Final against the Sea Eagles, with the young-gun requiring heavy strapping on his ankle in order to continue. But according to Thomson, Walker will be back with the team this week.

“Dylan’s pulled up really well,” said Thomson.

“He’s had a bit of trouble with that ankle earlier in the year – obviously he was able to finish the game which was really good.

“He was a little bit sore there at recovery on Saturday morning and we put him in a boot obviously after the game and the next morning just as a bit of a precaution – he’ll be fit and back with the team this week.”

Despite the Rabbitohs having a week off after qualifying for the Preliminary Final, Thomson added that this week will be an opportunity to get plenty of work done in preparation for the all-important clash.

“We’ll use this week to prep them the best that we can,” said Thomson.

“It’s certainly no holiday – they’ll be working nice and hard.”
