Rabbitohs lock-forward, Sam Burgess fronted the rugby league media today (Friday), following his side's 21-14 victory over the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in Thursday Night Football.

Burgess said that he believed his side we far from their best in last night’s match, but praised the team’s determination to ultimately get the win.

“I didn’t think we were too great last night,” said Burgess.

“I thought we struggled really at times - they were good. I probably don’t think they were at their best either, but we’ve certainly done nothing yet.

“We’ve got a big task on Thursday, you know we’ve still got a lot to work on in our game. I watched the game last night. Probably not our cleanest performance, but good gritty determination to get the win in the end.”
