Well here we are –one win away from the front runners, five wins on the trot, and our biggest loss of the year has only been 13 points.

Brisbane were a worry for me. The game started a lot like our Manly win where we didn’t see much ball in the early stages, but when we finally did get it, we used it.

The Greg Inglis try. What a try! Imagine being a Broncos fan and seeing the two best tries of the year scored against you, by the same man! They were two very different, but very ‘Inglis’ tries, one using his power and the other using his stride. Of course credit has to go to Adam Reynolds, who was on the ball with the kick and Sam Burgess was on the ball supporting the play to get GI across the line – great teamwork.

The following tries were perfect examples of the ‘focus’ that Maguire has called for from his players. McQueen seems to be in the right place at the right time on many occasions. He is a brilliant man to have in your corner. Reynolds’ kicking game was dangerous, with a few tries coming courtesy of his boot. I have been very, very impressed with him the past few weeks.

Inglis then had a hand in a few more tries! It was brilliant to see his hat trick, but even better to see that even though he could have had four under his belt, he unselfishly passed on to Luke Keary who grabbed another four pointer. He is here for the team, and that is an inspiration.

We had one more try up our sleeve which was a bit of a highlight for me. For a long time now, Issac Luke has been a favourite of mine. His scooting from dummy half is one of my favourite things to see, and when he does it and helps create a try from it, I am a happy Rabbitoh. He never gives up, never stops scanning for the best result and never stops puffing until the siren goes.

So this week, we have a very strong pack to play against in the form of the Cowboys. A tough match is on the cards here and we need to lift. Five in a row is fabulous, but there’s work to be done this week. We just have to do the small things right.

So bring your voice to ANZ Stadium and help the boys out in our last home game of the season Rabbitohs Members and supporters!

Up the Mighty Rabbitohs!!!
