Top Metre Gainers
A steely team defensive effort from the Rabbitohs played a huge role in the second placed side getting over the ladder leading Sea Eagles. But it was also a big game for Rabbitohs lock-forward, Sam Burgess, who this week tops the side in terms of metres gained, tackles made, and tackle breaks.
Closely following big Sammy in the metre-gaining stakes was dual-international Lote Tuqiri, who made 172 metres with the ball in hand. Greg Inglis makes his requisite appearance in this category with 149 metres to his name as part of a group of seven Rabbitohs in total who cracked the century on Friday.
