Rabbitohs Head Coach, Michael Maguire, says it’s all about focus and key moments when it comes to his side’s round 22 top of the table blockbuster at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday night.
The Rabbitohs have now won three games on the trot, but will face the first-placed Sea Eagles on Friday night in what promises to be a classic encounter on the sacred turf.
“It’s going to be one of those games,” said Maguire.
“It’s a great game that we’re looking forward to. Manly have been setting the pace for quite some time in the competition and it gives us another opportunity to perform and do the things we’ve been doing over the last three weeks.”
“It’s down to moments in the game that your concentration’s got to be up. Manly have been doing it for quite a long time now – we have too in some respect over the last couple of years.

“So we’re getting better at our game, and the personnel we’ve got in the team are getting stronger at those things that we’ve been practicing.
“Really it’s about staying in the game and staying in the moment and really concentrating, so it’s going to be one of those great games.”
The Rabbitohs last met the Sea Eagles way back in round two of the 2014 Premiership – a match that saw the Manly side come away with a narrow, 14-12 victory in Gosford.
But for Maguire, the Rabbitohs are a different team to the one that went down by two points to last year's Grand Finalists early in the season.
“We’ve had a lot of changes in our team since then – with young guys coming and the things that we’ve been working well at are starting to come off for us, which is great,” said Maguire.
“There’s plenty in games that you learn along the way. We’ve learned lots of lessons throughout the season, and I guess I’m really pleased about how we’ve been in the last sort of month – we’re starting to grow.”
