Rabbitohs High Performance Manager, Troy Thomson, updates us on the casualty ward at the Club in the latest ALCATEL onetouch High Performance Update.

Despite making the trip to Cairns, Sam Burgess was unable to take part in the side’s emphatic victory over the Knights, with Thomson giving an update on the Rabbitohs lock-forward.

“Unfortunately we couldn’t get Sam there for the game up in Cairns,” said Thomson.

“He went very close and was improving day by day, so that’s why the Coach sort of game him right up until kick-off basically to make that decision.

“We’re really confident he’ll be right for the Manly game on Friday night.”

Thomson was also pleased with the way Chris McQueen returned to the pitch on Sunday after an ankle injury – the Queenslander coming away with a four-pointer.

“Fortunately the way the game turned out there, we were able to give him a lot of minutes on the field,” said Thomson.
