Rabbitohs High Performance Manager, Troy Thomson, updates us on the casualty ward at the Club in the latest ALCATEL onetouch High Performance Update.

Both Captain John Sutton and Sam Burgess sustained injuries against the Raiders on Monday night in the nation’s capital, with Thomson conveying a mixed bag of results.

“A bit of a tough night there at the office for the boys,” said Thomson.

“’Sutto’ just got caught up in a tackle there early in the piece and stretched out that medial ligament. We got him back last night and got some scans early this morning which shows that there’s a fair bit of damage in there.

“We’ll just have a chat to a few of the surgeons and some specialists and see what the best course of action is, and worst case scenario, he’s a four-to six week proposition.”

Meanwhile, Thomson advised that Sam Burgess could be available to play this weekend against the Knights in Cairns.
