Rabbitohs forward Ben Lowe says that the hard work being done at training is now beginning to show out on the field.

After a month that included two byes and two losses, the Rabbitohs got back in the winners’ circle with victory over the Parramatta Eels in convincing fashion.

“I think we just need to transfer a bit of hard work that we were putting on the (training oval) out onto the field,” said Lowe.

“We train hard here – there’s no secrets about that – we’ve just got to make sure that when it comes to playing the 80 minutes every week, we’re ready to go.

Lowe knows it’s a cliché, but he and his Rabbitohs teammates are content to simply take the competition one week at a time.

“Every week now heading into the finals, you want to get some momentum and every game’s a must-win,” said Lowe.

“But look, we’ll be taking it one week at a time, and Canberra’s what we’re coming up against on Monday night. It should be a good one.

“Last time we played them, they got over the top of us a bit, so we’re looking forward to the battle and getting down there Monday night and producing a good 80 minute performance.”
