Rabbitohs forward Kyle Turner told the rugby league media this week that the Rabbitohs young brigade brings plenty of energy to the men in red and green ahead of tonight's night’s match with the Parramatta Eels.

“I’m just looking to step up and do my job for the team,” said Turner.

“I think the main thing is just energy. All the young boys in the side bring some energy into the team and that’s what Madge loves about the side – he loves young blokes coming in and doing their jobs, which they are.”

Despite sitting in fourth position, Turner cited the need for improvement following a month of football that included two losses and two draws – the young forward pointing to the side’s error rate as a major contributing factor for two successive losses between the two byes.

“It’s actually a major week for us I think,” admitted Turner.

“The last two weeks we haven’t been at our best – I think we had 17 errors or something last week. That’s just not acceptable in the NRL.

“We’re really focussing on the little things in our game and hopefully we can bring them out on Friday night.

“I think most of the boys took it (the bye) as a chance just to get away and get their heads right for the rest of the season. I hope it’s good signs for what’s to come these next few rounds.”
