Rabbitohs fullback, Greg Inglis, will RiseForAlex tomorrow night (Friday) against the Parramatta Eels by resting his number one jersey and donning the number 16 of Knights forward Alex Mckinnon.

Inglis, a Test and Origin representative, will honour Mckinnon during the NRL’s RiseForAlex round, by wearing the number worn by the Knight when he sustained a spinal injury in round three.

Rabbitohs player Jason Clark – originally named in number 16 for the match – will instead wear jumper number 21.

The NRL’s RiseForAlex round is an initiative designed to provide ongoing financial and medical support to Newcastle Knights forward, Alex McKinnon, who was injured during round 3 of the Telstra Premiership.

The fund will look to provide support for accessible housing, a vehicle, a wheelchair, physiotherapy and rehabilitation assistance as well as ongoing medical assistance as required.
