Two Rabbitohs and one North Sydney Bear have been selected in this year’s Australian Schoolboys side to represent Australia in England and France in November and December.

South Sydney SG Ball players Nat Butcher (Marcellin College Randwick), and Tevita Cottrell (Patrician Brothers’ College Blacktown) were both selected along with North Sydney’s John Olive (Endeavour Sports High School Caringbah) to tour at year’s end.

Cottrell, who recently also played in the Rabbitohs’ under 20’s side, capped off his selection by picking up the award for Player of the Championships.

In all – including Butcher, Cottrell, and Olive – six players from the Rabbitohs system took part in the week-long under 18 ASSRL Championships in Darwin this week, culminating in the Australian Schoolboys side being selected.
