Rabbitohs back-rower Ben Lowe this week said that he and his teammates will be focussing on the things they can control tonight at ANZ Stadium against the Wests Tigers.

The men in red and green went down to the Tigers in round three in a performance that went away from the team’s game plan. Lowe is keen to ensure that doesn’t happen again tonight.

“They’re a quality football team and just like they showed in round three – if we don’t stick to what we’ve got to do in our game-plan obviously they’ll get the two points on us.

“We’re going out there just to focus on the things we can control at the minute, and that’s making sure we put in a good 80 minute performance.”

Lowe returns to the Rabbitohs’ first-grade side after spending some time playing for the North Sydney Bears in NSW Cup in what the back-rower described as an opportunity to work on things set out by Coach, Michael Maguire.

“It’s just the little things I suppose,” said Lowe.

“It’s hard when you go back, but you go back to literally come forward again – so you go back and work on the little things that the Coach wants you to do and you just make sure that when the opportunity comes you’re ready to go.”

The South Sydney Rabbitohs will take on the Wests Tigers at ANZ Stadium this Friday 13th June at ANZ Stadium in Round 14 of the Premiership.
