Rabbitohs players Greg Inglis, Chris McQueen and Ben Te’o have today been named in Mal Meninga’s 22 man Queensland Maroons side to take on New South Wales at ANZ Stadium in Game II of the 2014 State of Origin Series.

“We’re taking a little bit of a different tack because of the current injury situation,” QRL Chairman Peter Betros explained to

“We normally announce 19 players but tonight because of the uncertainty over several players we’re going to announce 22 players. As the week goes on and the injury situation becomes clearer, Mal (Meninga) will finalise the team and get it down to the required number.”

After going down to the Blues at Suncorp Stadium in Game I, the next Origin instalment is a must-win for the Maroons if they are to claim their ninth-straight State of Origin Series win.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs would like to congratulate all three of our Maroons representatives and wish them the best in their upcoming match.
