The South Sydney Rabbitohs reached a new social media milestone over the weekend when the Club’s Facebook page received it’s 250,000th like.
The result – achieved on the eve of the Rabbitohs round 11 clash with the Cronulla Sharks – represents a massive increase of over 90,000 likes since the end of the 2013 NRL season, and an increase of 130,000 since season 2012.
The Rabbitohs Twitter presence also continues to grow, with just under 43,000 Twitterers electing to follow the mighty red and greens via the social media platform – an increase of nearly 9000 followers since the end of the 2013 season.
Along with Rabbitohs.com.au, the immediacy of both Facebook and Twitter has made social media platforms the go-to source of information and interactivity for Rabbitohs Members and supporters everywhere, who use them as a major source of news, as well as a discussion board to prove their passion.
