Issac Luke last week reflected on the Rabbitohs' start to the 2014 season, discussing everything from his injury and the young guns who stepped up to replace him, to the team's performances so far this year.

Speaking to Media Friendly's Rachel Friend, Luke spoke about his injury and the solid progress he has made since.

"I'm a few weeks ahead of schedule," said Luke.

"I did a contact session and I've been doing skills with the full-time squad so I just want to get out onto the field probably like every injured bloke at the moment - you sort of don't want to sit on the sideline watching your team. I'm just looking forward to getting back out there."

Luke also praised his family and teammates for helping to get him through the tough injury period.

"Obviously I've got a great family behind me and great teammates and my Club," said Luke.

"They drive me every day - I use them as motivation and obviously I want to play, but there's a process I've got to go through before that actually happens."
