Rabbitohs forward Sam Burgess fronted the rugby league media today (Tuesday) ahead of this Friday night’s Crown Resorts OCRF Charity Challenge against the Melbourne Storm at ANZ Stadium.

Burgess explained the significance of this week's match against the Storm this Women in League round.

"This week's a great week - Women in League Round," said Burgess.

"Crown have done a great job. Both ourselves and Melbourne are sponsored by Crown. They've donated $20,000 before the game and $1000 per try scored for both teams.

"Both teams if you've seen on the shirt are wearing the silver ribbon emblem for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. 

"Our jersey's - match-worn - will be signed after the game and auctioned off with all proceeds going to Ovarian Cancer research."
