Rabbitohs forward Kyle Turner fronted the rugby league media today (Tuesday) ahead of this Friday night’s Crown Resorts OCRF Charity Challenge against the Melbourne Storm at ANZ Stadium.

Despite putting in some solid showings in his first few outings in the top grade, Turner admitted that nobody's spot is safe - even his.

"You can never be too careful in this side," admitted Turner.

"You've got guys like Chris McQueen who's a State of Origin back-rower - but I think I'm playing good football at the moment and hopefully I can continue with this role."

Turner also credited his more experienced peers for helping him get to the stage he's currently in.

"They really go out of their way to help us young boys and you can really learn a lot from them with their experiences, past games, big games they've played in - anything I can take from them I will."
