Rabbitohs forward Kyle Turner fronted the rugby league media today (Tuesday) ahead of this Friday’s Easter Showdown clash with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium.

Turner cited an increase in intensity on the field as the reason for the Rabbitohs' recent two wins.

"The last couple of games we've really stepped up as a team," said Turner.

"Training hasn't changed very much, it's just the way we're playing - I think it's really stepped up."

While being impressive in his first foray into the top grade in recent weeks, Turner also picked up a four-pointer in the Rabbitohs' last outing at Penrith - the first of his career.

"It was awesome," said Turner with a smile.

"I suppose it was just right place, right time."
