Rabbitohs Head Coach fronted the rugby league media today (Wednesday) ahead of this Friday night’s round six clash with the Penrith Panthers at the foot of the mountains.

The Rabbitohs mentor stressed the importance of ball-control after the Rabbitohs' turned a corner in the match against St George Illawarra at the SCG.

"We've got to keep hanging onto the ball and there's still a lot of improvement," said Maguire.

"But we've made a step forward on the last three weeks and we've just got to take that momentum into the Penrith game now.

"We need to be an improved team each week - every team's coming at you and you're always getting hunted so it's about making sure you turn up and you're doing the little things - which I thought we did well against St George."
