Rabbitohs forward Ben Te'o fronted the rugby league media today (Tuesday) ahead of this Friday night’s round six clash with the Penrith Panthers at the foot of the mountains.

Te'o said that he was impressed with the Panthers' form so far this season, admitting that this Friday's match will be a challenge for his side.

"I've seen a fair bit of their footage," said Te'o.

"They're going great - across their whole team they've got a lot of strike power and they're very young, so it'll be a hard game this week."

Te'o admitted to feeling a small sense of relief following the Rabbitohs' round five victory over the Dragons - a win that ended a three game losing streak for the side - but the Rabbitohs and Maroon's back-rower says that the team is far from where they need to be.

"A little bit of relief," admitted Te'o.

"Just searching for that form and searching for a win definitely is encouraging, but it doesn't mean much if we don't win this weekend.

"It's a step in the right direction, but we're not in the eight right now so we're definitely  not where we want to be."
