Illawarra Cutters Vs North Sydney Bears
WIN Stadium, Saturday, April 5
Kick-off: 3.00pm

The North Sydney Bears will be in search of their second win of the season in round five this Saturday against the Cutters.

Norths were unlucky to come away with a victory over Mounties last week with difference coming down to goal-kicking – the Bears scoring four tries to Mounties’ three. But this week could be an entirely different proposition against the Cutters.

The Bears went down 50-12 to the Cutters at WIN Stadium – this week’s venue – in a curtain raiser to the Charity Shield just over a month ago.

After a first up loss to the Tigers, the Cutters have bounced back to be unbeaten in their last three outings. Wins against the Jets and Sharks plus a draw against the Warriors sees the Cutters heading in the right direction for new coach, Ian Millward.

Norths will be bolstered by dual international Lote Tuqiri, Ben Lowe and Beau Champion, who will play at five-eighthMuch the same with the Bears with both Cameron McInnes and Alex Johnston named on a six man bench for the Bunnies. Ryan Carr has been leading the Cutters well during the first month of the season, so look for the former Bear to have another big one here against his old club.
