Souths Cares Supports Windgap’s St Patricks’s Day Fundraiser
Souths Cares and the Windgap Foundation will continue their partnership on Monday 17 March at Windgap’s annual St Patrick’s Day Breakfast at Souths Juniors in Kingsford.
Windgap Foundation is a not for profit organisation, providing services to people with intellectual disabilities, including supported employment, supported accommodation, training, community access and community participation. Souths Cares enjoys a close relationship with the Foundation following last year’s announcement that former Rabbitoh Matt King would hop on board as an ambassador for the cause.
Souths Cares General Manager Shannon Donato extended an invitation to all those wishing to support the great work that Windgap do in the community.
“Matt, Souths Cares and the Rabbitohs invite you to join them at the Windgap Foundation Annual St Patrick’s Day Breakfast from 8.00 am on Monday 17 March, at the Juniors Football Club.
“Souths Cares is happy to help other local charities and not-for-profits where we can in order to support the disadvantaged, marginalised and indigenous youth and their families from our region.”
The St Patricks Day Breakfast is the latest in a string of initiatives stemming from the all-important partnership between both organisations. More recently, clients of Windgap formed a guard of honour for the Rabbitohs at the Charity Shield in Wollongong.
Shannon Donato General Manager of Souths Cares said that Windgap was an obvious choice to form the guard of honour.
“Souths Cares and Windgap enjoy a great relationship and many of their clients are Rabbitohs supporters,” he said.
“We have been working in collaboration with Windgap on a number of issues that will assist in improving the quality of life for their clients.”
“Having Windgap as part of our ‘entourage’ at last week’s game provided those men and women with a unique experience – and the smiles on their faces told everyone they loved it.”
