On the eve of the inaugural Auckland Nines tournament, the Rabbitohs had some special guests visit their final training session. The Glenfield Greyhounds, who just 24 hours earlier were treated to a visit from the entire Rabbitohs Auckland 9’s squad, were given a bonus opportunity to meet the Rabbitohs thanks to Colgate.

The Greyhounds were taken through the Colgate and Souths Cares workshop ‘Bright Smiles, Bright Futures’, which highlights the importance of oral hygiene among young children. There was also a special appearance by Dr Rabbit and the reward of a Colgate gift pack which included a new toothbrush and toothpaste.

The ‘Bright Smiles, Bright Futures’ message is delivered through the unique partnership between the Rabbitohs, Souths Cares and Colgate, and the workshop with the Glenfield Greyhounds in New Zealand marks the first time that the program has been delivered outside of Australia.

Following the workshop, the Greyhounds watched on from the sidelines as the Rabbitohs went through their last training session before the Auckland Nines tournament – star struck as they watched some of their favourite players in action. When training concluded, the Greyhounds mingled with the Rabbitohs, getting autographs and posing for photos with the NRL stars.

This concluded a memorable couple days for the Glenfield Greyhounds Junior Football Club, and the Rabbitohs wish the club the very best of luck during their 2014 junior footy season.

The Colgate logo will feature on the entire Rabbitohs NRL team’s mouthguards in 2014, so remember to keep an eye out for those Colgate Smiles!
