Rabbitohs Head Coach Michael Maguire had mixed feelings about the Rabbitohs’ first day outing at the Auckland Nines, in line with the team’s results.

“Our first game, we competed really well,” said Madge of the side’s victory over the Dragons.

“Obviously we did that in the second game, but I think the possession and what we did in that first game was ‘well above’.

“We took a lot out of that first game, but we need to get better.”

The Rabbitohs will take on the Penrith Panthers today at 1pm AEDT at Eden Park in their final game of the pool stage of the tournament. Tune in to Fox Sports 1 to join the action.
